What is the Van Herrick’s technique?

This is a quick method for evaluating anterior chamber depth (and risk for closure) based upon the apparent depth of the AC compared to the corneal thickness using a slit-beam of light at the limbus.  Angle closure is unlikely if the AC depth is at least 1/4th the cornea thickness.
