How is the inflammation of sympathetic ophthalmia different than that seen with VKH?

They are similar in that you get a bilateral granulomatous inflammation and panuveitis. However, SO spares the choriocapillaris while VKH involves this layer. In reality, however, this distinction is not very well seen on pathology. Look at trauma history and other systemic findings to help with your diagnosis.
