How do you treat gyrate atrophy?

As this is caused by a defect in OAT, leading to increased levels of ornithine in the plasma. You can try decreasing arginine in the diet, though this is supposedly difficult to do. You can try vitamin B6, which a small subset of patients seems to respond to.
