Coats disease is a retinal disease that is usually unilateral and seems to occur in otherwise healthy boys … usually in the juvenile age with a peak occurrence around eight or nine years of age. There is also a more adult form that occurs after the age of sixteen. This second form may be associated with high cholesterol.
